Sacramento County Workforce Pathways Grant (WPG) Stipend Program

WPG supports early educators, providers, and caregivers through professional growth stipends to complete professional learning hours and degree-pathway college units. WPG also offers stipends to family child care licensees for opening a new family child care home, increasing their licensed capacity, or completing their initial Health & Safety Training. 

The WPG Application Portal opens on August 15, 2026. Through the WPG Application Portal you can: 

          ● Check your eligibility for a WPG stipend           ● Submit an application           ● Download document checklist and due dates

Funded by the State of California, the goals of the Sacramento County QCC Workforce Pathways Grant (WPG) are to increase:

● The educational credentials, knowledge, and competencies of existing ELC professionals.● The number of qualified early learning and care professionals
