Sacramento UPK Collaborative

We support UPK as a mixed delivery system that includes transitional kindergarten (TK), California State Preschool Program (CSPP), Head Start Programs, private and public early learning and care providers, and additional partners, as part of a statewide preschool through third grade initiative.

Sacramento Countywide Vision Statement

A countywide cross-sector committee from the Sacramento UPK Collaborative developed a vision statement launched in 2022 with its origins in the Sacramento Early Learning Roadmap 2017-22.

Sacramento County supports the right of ALL children to have joyful, rich, and equitable early learning experiences (preschool through third grade) with educators that embrace each child’s unique strengths and needs.

Sacramento Countywide Vision Statement – SCOE Early Learning
We commit to – SCOE Early Learning

 We commit to:

● Building strong, meaningful relationships with families as key partners through trust and ongoing two-way communication with emphasis on family choice and voice.

● Developing and sustaining high-quality, inclusive, culturally- and linguistically-responsive learning programs and services with a focus on children’s well-being and growth through a whole child approach.

● Enhancing children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive skills with the goal of cultivating resilient, caring contributing citizens in school and life.

● Engaging with the early learning and care community, including the wide range of public and private programs, and elementary school systems in support of young children and in partnership with their families.
