Raising Quality Together:
Sacramento County’s Quality Improvement System

Raising Quality Together (RQT), Sacramento County’s Quality Improvement System, works closely with early learning and care programs, providers, and early educators to support their commitment to quality, improvement, and growth. As a county partner in the statewide Quality Counts California (QCC) system, RQT has been supporting participating sites to improve quality through professional learning, coaching, mentoring, rating, assessment, and other resources since 2012. 

The primary purposes of RQT are to:

  • Provide access to tool and resources to early educators and programs

    Link early educators to resources and support to grow their quality

  • Inform parents and families about the importance of quality early learning

Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS)

The Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) is a voluntary program focused on creating a comprehensive system that establishes uniform standards of quality for early learning programs, and provides quality research-based support for licensed early care and education centers and family child care homes serving children birth through age five.
